When cyclists ride for miles at a time they want the least resistance possible.  They only carry their phones, money & sunglasses, but what if they want to stop for a bite to eat or a coffee?  They don't want to walk while wearing their cleats.  The idea for FOOTbrake came about when traveling in Napa and we were meeting up with friends that were biking.  We were planning to walk around for a while, and said to one another "What's our friend going to do?"  She ended up buying a pair of flip flops to join us for a walk around the shops.

The thought came about that it would be really cool to have a pair of shoes you carried in your pocket.  We began drawing up pictures and talking with manufacturers, designed a logo and name.  The name is a play on words "break" and "brake".

Attending the Pan Mass Challenge to get feedback helped determine this was a needed item.  Many purchases were made to save their cleats from being ruined, walking far distances at the end of the ride back to their cars.

Later launching gear for skiers to enjoy the FULL comfort of their "break" in the lodge.  Walk in comfort and keep their wool socks dry, while resting their feet and enjoying a meal.

Stylish belts joined the product line as a way to mark an accomplishement for serious athletes, as an item to wear when "breaking" from the training.  For those runners, swimmers and cyclists that cross the finish line.
